The house mouse makes itself at home in agricultural facilities and cultivated fields, threatening production loss and biosecurity issues. They are highly adaptable, so controlling mice in barns, poultry houses, feed storage and the outdoors is a complex task.
Mouse droppings are a common way to identify mice. Droppings can be found in feeding areas and on paths to and from feeding, especially in corners. Mouse droppings are pointed on one end and approximately one-quarter inch long. Marks left by mice gnawing are approximately one-sixteenth inch long.
Rats and mice can cause serious issues like feed loss and disease. Rozol® Pellets are made to help. Labeled for use within 100 feet of man-made structures, Rozol Pellets are the ideal choice for helping to control mice and rats in agricultural operations.
Revolver® Soft Bait begins to control rat and mouse populations starting 4 to 5 days after the consumption of a lethal dose of the active ingredient bromadiolone. Revolver’s soft bait pouches can be secured like conventional blocks in bait stations or placed directly in tight, hard-to-reach places where rodents live and blocks won’t fit.
Renegade™ Bait is designed for use in moisture-prone areas such as cooling cells in hog barns and poultry houses. It contains 25 ppm of the active ingredient difethialone, which kills rodents starting 4 to 5 days after they have consumed a lethal dose. It also contains a blue dye that’s visible in rat and mouse droppings after consumption so you can be confident pests are consuming the bait.
NoTox™ is a non-toxic bait which can be used for monitoring rodent activity in and around cropland and agricultural buildings. The unique triangular mini blocks are designed to help identify gnaw marks and determine which species are present. Each block contains a red dye that is highly visible in rodent droppings, creating another point of rodent identification. Using NoTox is a great way to help inform your rodenticide baiting strategy.
Registered for use in Canada. Take indoor mouse control into your own hands with the Mhouse™ Refillable Bait Station. Labeled for indoor domestic use, each Mhouse package comes with one (1) reusable Aegis® Clear Lid Mouse Bait Station and twelve (12) 20-gram bait blocks. The bait station features a lockable lid. When used as directed, the bait station is resistant to tampering by children. Bait blocks include 50 ppm chlorophacinone, which is an active ingredient exclusive to Liphatech to help control mice.
Hombre® Bait is available as mini blocks, bulk pellets and pellets place packs, giving you flexibility to address rat and mouse infestations in tight spaces unique to your barns and production buildings, including underneath floor slats and in attic crawlspaces where rodents thrive. Hombre is a rodenticide formulated with difethialone, a second-generation anticoagulant that begins to control mice and rats starting 4 to 5 days after they consume a lethal dose.
FastDraw® Soft Bait is a difethialone bait that begins to control rats and mice in 4 to 5 days after consumption of a lethal dose. FastDraw is molded into a dough matrix to be attractive and encourage intake. The soft bait pouches make it easy to place bait in tight, hard-to-reach places where pests thrive.
DoubleTap® is a palatable, multiple-feed bait that effectively controls rats and mice. DoubleTap is available in soft bait pouches or mini blocks and is ideal for consistent everyday use during light to heavy rodent activity. It’s especially useful on farms and pork or poultry production systems where other active ingredients and bait formulations have been used for long time periods.
Cannon II® Bait controls rat and mouse infestations with the active ingredient bromethalin. It’s an effective tool for anticoagulant-resistant populations or to break up anticoagulant cycles. This bait kills mice and rats in two or more days after consumption of a lethal dose. The soft bait pouches and mini blocks are available in 4-pound bags or pails, which are the ideal size for baiting in broiler, turkey or hog operations during depopulation or cleanout.
BorderLine® bait is a Restricted Use Pesticide (RUP) labeled to help prevent Norway rats, roof rats, house mice and voles from getting into crop fields and agricultural structures. When used as directed, BorderLine can create a zone of control in field border areas adjacent to crops. The bait is pelleted for palatability and formulated with 50 ppm chlorophacinone, a multi-feed anticoagulant, for effective control. Pellets are also paraffinized to resist rain and irrigated conditions.
BootHill® Bait for rats and mice is your go-to product to control rodents in damp and hard-to-reach places, such as under floor slats or around manure pits. It is formulated with paraffin to withstand moisture and comes in two formulations: Mini blocks and pellets. BootHill contains bromadiolone, a second-generation anticoagulant, and is formulated to attract rodents to encourage consumption.
We know ranchers and producers have a million things to do each day. That’s why the Aegis®-RP Bait Station is made to save time and money. Featuring a quick-open top, the station allows for fast inspections and bait replacement. Further, the Aegis®-RP is designed to accommodate bait blocks, soft baits, glue boards or snap traps so you can load the station with whatever rodent control tool you want to use. The station can be mounted vertically or horizontally. Available with a lockable lid if tamper-resistant placement is required.
The Aegis®-RP Anchor takes the original locking Aegis®-RP Bait Station and fastens it to an 11-pound slab of building-grade concrete. The added weight from the concrete helps prevent dislocation from weather events and non-target animals, especially in cage-free production. Additionally, the concrete raises the bait station entry points by a minimum of 1-1/4 inches to help prevent manure, debris or water from getting in. The station can be mounted vertically or horizontally.
Reduce the risk of bait exposure to non-target animals on your operation with the Aegis® Risk Reducer: a bait station insert designed to lessen rodenticide crumb-out. To help prevent crumb-out, the Risk Reducer features a slotted grate and exit barriers that brush rodenticide debris into a catch basin. Both the slotted grate and catch basin are removable for easy clean up. Compatible only with Aegis®-RP Bait Stations.
The Aegis® Rat Bait Station features a double-tunnel design. All Aegis® stations can be mounted vertically or horizontally. The Aegis® universal key locking mechanism helps keep non-target animals and children from accessing the bait and makes servicing quick and easy.
The Aegis® Mouse Bait Station houses up to two rodenticide blocks or soft bait pouches. The lockable lid provides added security for children and non-target animals while the durable plastic housing protects bait from the elements. Stations can be mounted vertically or horizontally.
Mice are omnivores. Seeds are their preferred food; they also eat cereal grains, fruits, vegetables and meat. Mice eat one-tenth of an ounce per day. If mice are consuming livestock or poultry feed, those fractions of ounces will quickly impact herd or flock feed efficiency.
Mice live throughout the United States and in Canada south of the boreal forests. Extremely adaptable, mice live in cultivated fields and all types of agricultural buildings. They can live in basements or at the tops of tall structures.
