Snails are prolific breeders. They are hermaphrodites, and a single pair of snails can hatch between 50 and 150 eggs every 4 to 6 weeks. Without proper control, snail populations can expand fast and wreak havoc on your productivity.
Metarex 4% Slug and Snail Bait comes in homogenized pellets developed using our patented wet manufacturing process. The process allows the pellets to resist the absorption of moisture from rain and irrigation. Wet manufacturing also evenly disperses the active ingredient, metaldehyde, throughout each pellet for maximum control. These pellets often harden back up after drying out, retaining their shape and continuing to provide protection up to four weeks.
Metarex is registered for use in all states except: North Dakota, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming. Only New York State classifies Metarex 4% Snail and Slug Bait (EPA Reg. #7173-257) as a Restricted Use Pesticide (RUP).
